Rustproofing Magic Pie
« on: January 14, 2013, 08:01:19 AM »
I have a couple more questions regarding the Magic Pie 3.
I was thinking of using some Urethane paint to rustproof the motor, mainly the stator.

So is the iron laminations of the stator the most vulnerable part? Anything else that I should spray?

Also, are the bearings easy to replace in a MP3?

Thanks for your help. :)

Cheers, Martin.

Hi, Martin

After reading of problems other folks have had with water shorted controllers, I would suggest you spray the circuit board as well.   It doesn't need to be a heavy coat, but it does have to cover all the little nooks and crannies.  Mask off the connectors.
