increasing consumption
« on: February 29, 2012, 01:58:50 AM »
Hey
I got cycle analyser and when I install it its show me 4W consumption on ide. After a month, one morning I put my bike on and analyser was showing 5W instead of 4W.Then during the day its claim up to 6W.I got it like this for few days now.Its bouncing between 5W-7W.I know 3W different is perhaps not that important, but I just want to figure it out WHY?I have dual motor MP II.If I disconet power from one motor its show 3W consumption on ide.
If anyone can help please
thanks

Hi Ladyo

You might try tracking idle power VS ambient temperature.  But does it really matter?  If you have a 1 KW motor, 3 watts is a very small variation.  You might take a look at the accuracy specs of your monitor.   If it is more than .5%, you are worried about noise.

Hi Ladyo if this is a Cycle Analyst that you are referring to you can read in the documentation that came with it (or on-line at www.ebikes.ca) and it describes the procedure for zeroing out this inaccuracy. It's in the section for advanced settings. I have 3 installed on my ebikes and one was like this, zeroed it out and all is well.
