Battery switch position symbol meaning?
« on: February 16, 2012, 02:18:14 AM »
I must admit I failed cryptography.   What do all the symbols by the battery switch positions mean?  I have a 48v GM battery.  Can someone point me to a tutorial that I have so far failed to find?

I can't remember seeing any instructions on the battery switch operation, but as far as I'm aware, there are just three positions on the GM battery switch, and you should be able to find out which position is which by trial and error:
  • ON
  • OFF (Charging Position) able to remove the key
  • Release position used to remove the battery from the rack mounting plate (I would expect this position to be spring loaded from the OFF position, but I don't know if it actually is).

Or look at the glyphs, it's:
On
Lock

I figured there should be on and off, but there are 4 positions?   I'll work it out.  Thanks.
