I have a Golden motor I purchased some years ago and now want to use it in a hybrid trike.  Unlike the newer motors, mine does not have bolt holes for a disc brake.  I will be using a Hercules suspension fork, so there is no way to mount any kind of rim brake.  Are there any options for me... can bolt holes be drilled and tapped for a disc brake?  Is there a retrofit kit or a different hub cover available which would have the disc brake hardware?  I don't mind fabricating something if need be.  I feel like I need a good brake up front and am at a loss at this point on what to do.  Any ideas or suggestions?  Many thanks,
Silverbear

Check out Jarda's 2wd electric bike for more details on this home made brake disc.
