removing axle, possible??

Hi

Is it possible to remove and replace the axle on the MP? I know that you can on Crystalytes Motors! But what about Goldenmotors motors?

From what I can see, it looks as if the stator is pressed onto the axle using a key to transmit the torque and prevent it from turning.

The centre of the stator seems to have a steel insert cast into it and it looks as if it is pressed on from the left hand side of the axle (the wire side).

If it's pressed on, it should be possible to press it off again with the correct equipment, but it might be difficult if the stator required heating up before originally being pressed into place because of a very tight interference fit.

Here is a close up shot of the right hand side of the axle:

I can't tell from the picture if the shaft is stepped to provide a positive location point, of whether the stator is simply pressed into the correct position during assembly, but if you're going to remove the axle, it might be a good idea to measure and record the distance from the stator to the end of the bearing location point to ensure it can be put back in the correct position.

Okay, for the sake of the argument. Let's say that you can press out the axle just like on Crystalytes motors(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtQzsCDV6tM). Do Golden Motor sell a replacement axle? Otherwise, there would be no reason to press it out!
