Hi everybody,
I am a new member, I like to install the Magic Pie on the front wheel of my mountain bike with hydraulic disc brake and my question is will brake regen work without the brake handles comes with the kit.

Ron;

The regen braking is triggered by a switch on the brake levers.

You could change the brake levers, but to get regen you
are going to need to trigger it electrically some other way.

There have been various posts about using a magnetic
reed switch and a magnet on the brake lever to trip
the brakes.

Good luck and show us pics of what you come up with.

i used a miniswitch/lever on the brake body, and a tube of metal on the brake handle...works a treat on my shimano lever/gear integrated...

just make sure its a push to break switch that you get
