Golden Motor Canada Mobile

Hello All

I hope this does not come across a shameless promotion but...   

I have been working on a new mobile website for Golden Motor Canada. If anyone is interested please use your blackberry, Iphone, android or whatever mobile device you have and take a look at www.goldenmotor.ca

 I have installed an automatic detection of mobile devices and should automatically take you to the mobile site. Any feed back would be great! I am courious about first what device you used, if your device has been redirected what you think about the look and feel of the site. Is it easy to use? Does everything work? what should I add or eliminate?

Again please forgive me if this comes off as shameless promotion that is not my intention. I am just trying to get some feedback.

Hi Gary, here's my feedback and bug report..

Site looks really good!

1. m.goldenmotor.ca mobile front page should have a or "shop now" or "store" button prominently at the top.
2. the "build your kit page" doesn't have the prices for the individual components in the boxes.
3. when viewing in portrait mode, some of the longer names for the components are truncated on the iphone- e.g."48v lithium..." (user csan get around this by viewing in letter box mode.
4. m.goldenmotor.ca/site/?imz_st has text and buttons. Buttons appear to duplicate the text but buttons are not working. user has to click text to navigate.
5. ^this appears to be happening with all "oval style" buttons.

Thank you Magzy. That is exactly the kind of feedback I'm looking for. It is only the first day online so it is great to have suggestions and opinions for improving it. I already fear the list from Bikemad

That was a great suggestion. Please try it again. You may have to click the "update" button a few times. To get it to work. but it should show the prices when you select Still working on it

Gary, you're going to be very disappointed this time, I'm still on "Pay as you go" with my mobile and no WiFi ability, so I've never used it for internet access.
I use my ultra high speed broadband connection for all my internet access:



Only joking, I'm on a 10 meg fibre optic connection, so the correct test results are more like this:



I discovered that using speedtest.net with Google Chrome initially produced a huge discrepancy on the download speed results.

Hi Gary,

I quickly checked the site on my phone just now. I'm using a Samsung Vibrant (running Android 2.2). Everything works well for me, it looks simple and easy to use. My only suggestion is the photo of the MP kit on the home page is too big. When I'm using mobile websites I don't like to have to pan across the page to see everything. Maybe it's not supposed to be that big and it's just my browser?

That's a good point. It is big and very repetitive. It actually takes up my entire screen at any prompt and I have to scroll to see what page I am on.

Have to find or create a simple quick loading banner or something like that. Something thin.
