The only differences I found are that one includes the gear removal tool and a freewheel. Do I need the freewheel if I already have my own from my old bike? Also, another difference is the usb controller programming. Is this something important? What advantages do you get with a usb programmable controller? Thanks!

The second one does have more accessories. It is what I call a "custom kit" People ask me all the time "how much is it if I but these items all together" I usually put together a price with no extra shipping for all the extras and post it to my "custom kits" section and leave it there for other prospective customers who might want the same combination of items. If you browse the "custom kits" you will see many different combinations of items people have purchased in the past.
