All cruise controllers the same?
« on: January 15, 2010, 08:21:44 PM »
I've been told that the BAC-0281, 0282, and 0283, are all the same item. Is this true? I recently purchased a cruise controller. Ordered 48V, received 36V. The supplier says they are all the same. ???

The only difference might be the low voltage cutoff (LVC) setting calibrated for a 36v battery. As long as your battery has a bms it shouldn't be a problem. I've used a few infineon controllers and they can work on on +12 and even +24 volts above the stated rating.

Actually I just found the following thread that explains it all: http://goldenmotor.com/SMF/index.php?topic=918.0

NOW they are.

I do not know if it actually changed or if they discovered the capacity.
