Posting spam on forums like this so the Moderators are kept busy!

I would say No, No and No again.


I seem to spend most of my time on this forum banning and removing known spammers like this one, which has just raised the total number of "members" banned so far to 1,182!
I really could do with a button that would ban them from the Internet instead of just the forum.

You need administration access to this forum or even cpanel access and install an anti spam mod to SMF.

The majority of spam is done via a captcha crack script bot hiding on botnet.

Yes script bots can actually crack the silly numbers we all muddle up when registering.

Email MX record check helps not sure about this anymore.

And question verification can be the most powerfull method to keep them out.
