Tool kit
« on: September 08, 2009, 10:36:00 AM »
G'day all,

I'm thinking for getting the toolkit that is on the accessories section of the GM site. I know the freewheel removal tool, but I'm unsure what the other tools are actually for.

If anyone knows and could explain what they are for and how to use them it would be great.

Muzza.

OK Muzza, I'll give it a go.

Here are my guesses on the tools shown.

(A) Difficult to be sure from the photo angle, but it looks like it might be used for adjusting the bearing cap on some bottom brackets.
Similar to the tool being used here:

(B) Depending upon it's size, it could be used for adjusting steering headsets or for use on some basic crank assemblies like this:

(C) As you've already mentioned, it's a tool for removing freewheels.

And pedal cranks too.

(D) Looks like a tool for Campagnolo bottom brackets that use this type of fitting:

(E) "C" spanner used for undoing and tightening locking rings as in 2nd photo down from the top.
