Tire size
« on: July 27, 2009, 11:17:24 AM »
Hello!

I just bought the front wheel 26" conversion kit with 750W motor. The kit comes with a wheel but no tire/tubing.

I'm trying to find a tire that fits the rim, but I can't find it at any bikestore or such. It's marked 26X1.536H. But every 26" I try is to big?

Why is that? And what have I missed? :)

Have you actually tried the tire? My GM rim looks very narrow, but it has a 2.125 tire.
I have just bought a replacement tire at wally world, 26inch with a range of x 1.75 through 2.125.

Hi again!

I have found my problem. It seems 26" is not always 26". Atleast not here in europe. There is a lot of 26" with diffrent diameters ranging from 559mm to 590mm (as I know of). I just happen to get one that was to large.
