Tire Size for 28 Inch Rim
« on: December 17, 2011, 10:34:03 AM »
Hi Guys. My name is Kris and I've been lucky enough to recently receive my brand spanking new Golden Motor Kit.

It all works well and fits the bike lovely BUT!.. I cant seem to find a tire that fits.
Most of the bike shops in my local area go to 700c maximum (which I originally thought was 28") which is obviously too small, so my question is...

What size tire am I looking for? My knowledge of tire sizes is very small so any help would be appreciated.

Being denied my Golden Motor experience because of a tire is a pain! :) Thank you. -Kris

Hi Kris andto the forum.

Hopefully you will find the information you're looking for in this post.

Although the post is about a mini motor, the rim size should be identical to yours.

Kris.
Tell your bike shop you need a "postman" size tire.
It is 700mm, but that is about 27.5 in.
