Feature request: Subj: Cruse control
« on: October 10, 2015, 01:19:40 AM »
I would like to know if this would be possible:
I would like to see an option put into the control software for this option.

If the throttle is held in full position for less then "X" seconds and the cruise button applied, then "Y" cruise speed would be set.
If the throttle is held in position for more then "X" seconds and the cruise button applied then MAX cruise speed would be set
(The cruise control setting would still operate normally when not at full throttle)

So if I hold the throttle wide open and hit the cruise button within 2 seconds, the cruise speed would be set at 32km/h.
And if I hold the throttle wide open for longer than 2 seconds and hit the cruise button, the MAX cruise speed would be set.

In the software, this option could be selectable as ON/OFF.
The time in seconds can be an entered value
The cruise speed in km/h can be a entered value.
(Max speed is already an option in settings)

The reasoning behind this, is my commute is both on and off road to and from work.
So when I'm on the road, I could have my cruise speed set at the legal limit of 32km/h.
And when I'm off road(on the trails) I could cruise at the max speed.
It's just kinda a pain to (try and) throttle to 32km/h and hit the cruise all the time.

Thoughts?
Chris

Thoughts, well, it seems like a lot of work to workaround pushing a button.
