MPI connectors and pins
« on: July 16, 2018, 12:46:01 PM »
Hi there,

I'm pretty green here, but I recently got a set of Magic Pie 1's and they didn't come with control (like throttle, etc.)

Looking for a diagram of the pins for the controls so I can finally test if these still work.

Thanks for the help!

Hi Tad andto the forum.

I think this diagram should help:

Connecting a piece of wire between pins 4 and 6 should spin the motor at maximum speed, but make sure the axle is secure and unable to spin before you test it, or it may instantly wrap the wires around itself.  ;)

Hopefully you can find an 8 pin mini din extension lead with the correct pin layout to connect to the existing connector, as it is better to chop up a cheap extension lead and still have the ability to plug it directly into the existing connector on the motor's harness.
