Programming Cable
« on: January 07, 2016, 04:58:05 PM »
Hi
Is there anyone has used VEC300 programming cable with HPC300 controller?
Both of controllers' programming cables have the same UART-USB chip?
Thanks

It may be that the only difference is the connectors that plug into the controller, but I don't know whether anyone has tried changing the plugs.

If the USB chip is the same, it should be possible to either modify a cable by fitting both connectors in parallel (or make up a simple plug in adapter) to allow a single cable to be used to program either controller.

If someone can post some close up pictures of the wires and connectors used for each controller, it might help to determine the common connections.

I'm guessing that the same four wires (Red, Blue, Green and Yellow) will connect to the USB PCB on both leads.

Hi Alan,
I found pinouts of both programming cables.
And their USB chips are CH340.
I downloaded HPCMIS_WIN for HPC300 motor controller from Canada based Golden Motor company.
I could not change HPCMIS_WIN com port. How could I change it?
Thanks

PI-800 programming actually did not work, when I connect, it did not even powered the board.
I used another CH340 USB-UART converter. This one could power the controller and red light starting to blink but I could not connect controller through HPCMIS_WIN.exe. Even I could not change COM port of the program, there is no settings to change port.
I did not connect batteries, could it be the problem?

I've connected the battery and on/off switch too
Nothing has changed
How could you connect to controller through motor controller program HPCMIS_WIN.exe?
