Where can I buy a kit?
« on: August 27, 2008, 03:58:39 AM »
Hello,

Where can I buy a golden motor conversion kit?  I found one at www.myelectricbike.com for $240.00, but it is very confusing how to order a kit.

Can anyone help me find a website to purchase a kit?  Thanks!

http://www.goldenmotor.com then click the "Click here to go to e-Bike DIY Shop".

The kits are $339 shipped these days, and payments are handled through PayPal.

What part of ND is home for you?

Just ordered a Golden Kit, 48v with regenerative controller direct from the Golden Motors website,  Follow the directions detailed in Dave's post.  Correspondence with Phil at GM confirms that delivery to Houston will be about 10 days,  Hum... we'll see!  Don't know if this is the standard response or or an actual promised shipping date.  Apparently, some orders are shipped from depots in this country.

I am certainly excited about converting my old Trek.  It would be my guess that the excitement will fade as the delivery date is prolonged for what ever reason.  I ordered mine with the Pedelec option.

Good luck on your conversion, and keep us posted.
