VEC500 low motor rpm
« on: December 13, 2018, 12:40:06 PM »
Hi

I have a VEC500 motor controller and TP 100 brushless 10Kw inrunner.

Tp100:
Model No.

TP100
12-Slot    10-Pole
220 KV
10500W  Contiuous Power
Hall sensored with KTY 84-130

Then I use almost stock motor controller settings.
Hall electic angle: 120
Phase angle offset: -120
Number of poles pairs: 5
Speed 3000 Rpm.

Now the motor works fine, at measured 2710 RPM and have a lot of torque.

But I have problems to get more rpm of the motor.
Motor rpm rating: 220Kv*48V= 10500 RPM.
But the software limits me to only 8000 RPM.

When testing the motor goes fine to about 4000 RPM, but after that the motor controller starts have truble. And the rpm on the motor is all over the place.

Hi

I think it have to be the electric RPM standard. (ERPM)
(Electric RPM = mechanical RPM * motor pole pairs).
So 10500*5=52500
