Are Deans connector rated for enough amps if used with Mp4 at 48 set to default settingsettings?

I use the HobbyKing version of the Deans "T" style connectors and have found them to be more than capable of carrying the 30~35 amps that the MP4 draws:
 


On my modified MPII, my wattmeter regularly records a maximum current ~50 Amps and the connectors have been in use for over 5 years so far.

This is the maximum measured current that I have inflicted upon them, which they handled without a problem :



Although I have discovered that they are not able to withstand an accidental direct short while trying to connect to an unprotected high current LiPo pack:



My 30c 10Ah LiPo pack was capable of delivering 200 Amps continually and 300 Amps for short bursts, so I was not surprised to discover that the connector was unable to survive a direct short circuit with such a high current.

I have used deans in rc and find them very robust for everyday use, the doesnt melt before 130-140 amps, which most e-bikes seldom exceeds
