Power brake handle
« on: December 26, 2012, 07:35:44 PM »
My bike has hydraulic disc brakes.
That means that the power brake handles of Goldenmotor can not be used.
Now, no problem perhaps , I will use a PAS sensor (pedall assist) an if the motor stops as soon when I release the pedals or pedal backwards.

So, how does the Goldenmotor act or does it rally need brake assist.
The brake assist is a simple on/off switch so if it's needed, then I could perhaps modify the avid 5 elixir brake handle.

What's the best approach in this case?

This thread might offer a solution for you:

I have had the throttle stuck open once (probably from water getting in) and in such event it is useful to have a way to shut down the. motor other than reaching for the battery switch. I don't know if that can happen with PAS only though.
Disclaimer: I know nothing.

The avid uses dot 5.1 brake fuil.
But, I will check dot5.1 compatible brake handles, switch included.
