New batt pack issues and warranty issues?

Hi,

I've been reading a number of posts here and there are a couple where people are getting defective batt packs but GM expects them to fix it themselves or they say they will only give discount on new batt pack.

Is this true? Does GM do that when you have a faulty batt pack under warranty or am I just reading them wrong?

Purchasing direct from China can be a problem for some warranty related issues, and this is probably why GM themselves are trying to persuade customers to buy from their local dealers instead.

I'm assuming that you will be purchasing GM goods from your local dealer (GoldenMotor.CA) in which case Gary Salo (GM Canada) has an excellent reputation as a GM dealer and would certainly look after you if you were unfortunate enough to suffer a warranty related problem.
