Ping battery for Magic Pie .
« on: March 07, 2011, 09:41:20 PM »
Has any one used a Ping battery on their Magic Pie. I am thinking of getting the 36v 15Ah unit. I am using a Golden Motor 36v 16Ah battery now. It has lost run time by about 60% after just over a year. Ping say to use a diode for regeneration braking. It would have to be a very high current diode.

Never tried a "ping" but I do recommend using genuine A123 cells...There is a major difference. In my experience the GM cells are not capable of any where near the same amp delivery as a A123. I have tried a number of LifeP04 cells, the A123 are definitely the most powerful. Best price I have seen is $8USD per cell.
