Mini-Motor at 48V

Hello,

Does anybody in here ride the mini-motor at 48V?

I am riding it at 36V (10S LiPoly) with 12A continuous and 18A peak.

I am thinking of putting it at 48V (12S Lipoly) with 8A continuous and 12A peak.

I only ride in plains and so the idea was to replace torque by top-speed.

I'm getting 32 Km/h and I guess I can get almost 40 Km/h if I put it at 48V.

Your bike is running well at 36v 12Ac~18Am right?
36v*18A=648W
36v* 12A =432W


648W/48v = 13.5 amps
432/48v =9 amps

I think this should work my friend as long as you stay under these limits.  You will notice better top end speed but it should slow down against the wind or on hills back to the speed you travel now at 36 up hills and against the wind.

I think 8 amps 12 amps is a good place to start.

Many have have blown up the mini motor putting more volts in.

This is before the software control was available.

If you damage the winding and or gears you blame yourself right?  :D
