Based on point that all (e)motors have more or less countercurrently breaking capability due to electromagnetic rules.
Do all hub motors have by themselves regen braking capability controlled by standard controller?
Can controller feel the current flow in/out of motor and charge the battery if it notice that angle of load is negative (going downhill)?
Is breaking paddle that has sensor on handle necessary to give controller the idea that you are attempt to break so it swiches in generator mode ?
What do I need to have to have regen braking if I have standard eBike kit? (motor, controller, battery, thumb throttle)
