My newest configuration on my bike..

Two 24v 250w motors (front minimotor on 24" tire) / (rear motor on 20" tire).
Front motor running off of 36v 15ah and the rear motor running off of a 36v 30ah setup.

Last weekend I did a full power / range test on mine.
did 20mph/33kph and got 42m/70km.

Today I did a medium power test
did 18mph/30kph and got 54m/90km.

Both of those were just at .5ah before cutoff.

Tomorrow I'm going to do a constant 16mph/26.5kph and see what kind of range I can get.

P.S.  My top speed is 23.4mph/39kph but the max distance I get off of that speed is only 37m/61km.

:)

Any clue what difference it would make if I changed either or both of the motors to 36v 250w or 36v 500w?

Would my distance or speed suffer or get better?

I have not tried to evaluate velocity vs distance.

I only have 48V.

I love the idea of driving  both wheels.

My top speed today (going down hil)l was 52 kmh
That is faster than I EVER Want TO GO!!
I have two bikes.

I ride the slow one.

This one’s speedometer starts screwing up around 75 kmh.

Good day

I didn't look the last time I went down a long hill (by floridas standards) all I know is that when I looked at the max speed I ever got it to go was just a hair over 36mph/60kph.
And you're correct, anything over 25mph/40kph is just too damn fast for a bicycle..   If you want to go faster than that, you might as well just buy a moped or motorcycle.

hey, I get 40km/h max on my Magic Pie on normal roads but want to go 45km/h just like the legal standard for scooters.
so they aren't faster then I and I won't sertainly be slower than them.
I hope my english grammer is right  ;D

I am waiting for the Magic Pie II to come out so I can connect my 48v gm battery with a 24v gm battery to get 72 volts and I am going to build switches so I can switch between 24v 48v and 72v ;D wouldn't that be great?

You will get INCREDIBLE range, that way....  what are the AH's of the batteries, they would have to be VERY close to each other.

Hey Scott,
Be carefull about 2 batteries on one rack. I did that for a while then moved to the front rack as a second position. I bent the back rack on mine with two batteries and a 12 pack of 'pops' on top. You can see in the attached photo how the bottom part of the rails bent and the controller box is pushing down on the fender.

By the way I noticed a twelve pack of 'pops' in your picture, that is why I mention this  ;)

hope yao replies to me with some info also on my
