Golden Motor makes good!
« on: December 01, 2009, 02:53:54 AM »
Thanks to the efforts of members of this forum, Golden Motor has promised to honor my warranty and replace my defective motor!

I am confident that I will be really happy once my bike gets its new motor.

Thanks to Alan and Gary for negotiating with Yao and Tom on my behalf and thanks to Leslie for all his help and sympathy as well as his fearless attitude towards technology. Thanks to e-lmer for his cultural sensitivity suggestions--particularly the one about succinct, uncomplicated, prose.  Think Hemingway not Faulker or Frege rather than Dewey. "KISS" is the US Army acronym for "Keep It Simple Stupid." I gather I was complicated enough to confuse even native speakers of my own language.  Even my video proved confusing.

Now, if the Post Office can only do its part . . .

Thanks to all of you on this forum for bearing with me and to Golden Motor for developing, producing, and standing by a product of ever increasing performance, value, and quality.

Now when can we get started imposing some structure on this forum so that future problems are less troublesome for all concerned?

It would be a Great help if you would do a review after you received your motor. Anyway it's been a busy day and I'm glad that you're glad that I'd gladly replace your motor.

Eric,

I hope that you are now able to relax and can just sit back and enjoy Christmas, which will be here very soon.

Now when can we get started imposing some structure on this forum so that future problems are less troublesome for all concerned?

I think a dedicated troubleshooting board might be the way to go and I'm open to any useful suggestions.

Alan

I think we need some sort of sticky post that says start here and then works you through the various tests.

BTW, electro;

I don't think we in the forum had anything to do with it.

GM will make good.  Sometimes it takes them some time to do so.
I've been saying that all along.

Yes, I second this idea! If you can do a review with the same gusto as you did with your postings and your videos of problems I'm sure it will be a worthy read and I'm looking forward to it.
