When my regen is disabled and the level is removed from the bike, my MP4 still puts a ton of energy back into the battery when pedalling on a bike stand. As per my other thread I am able to use this as a pedal generator. The same effect would happen if I were to freewheel down a big hill, ie. my Mp4 would be putting energy back into my battery despite regen being disabled. Is that normal? When I pedal on the stand I can put out 14-15 amps at around 14v into my solar charge controller, so this has me wondering if every time I am freewheeling on a ride I'm charging my battery even though I don't want to be doing so. But I guess all that energy being generated by freewheeling a big motor has to go somewhere.
