Loving my sp 4
« on: January 02, 2016, 06:26:01 PM »
So I was toying with the idea of turning my giant Mtb into an ebike.  Gary had some killer Black Friday sales on so I jumped on a Smart Pie kit.  I'm running mine off of multistar lipos.  I am running either 8s 20 AH or 12s 10AH.  I must say it is an absolute hoot to ride and has plenty of power for my style of riding.  I'm only 150lbs so it has plenty of torque.  I'm not using the supplied brake handles as my bike has integrated brake/shift levers.  I like finding a speed that suits the terrain, set the cruise and pedal along.  I can see myself getting a cycle analyst before spring.  Gary has been a huge help with setup and any questions I've had along the way.  I would gladly recommend him to anyone seeking an ebike kit.  Once the warmer weather comes back to Ontario, I will make a YouTube video and post the link here.
