Replacement battery pack for MP3 --> 48V
« on: June 05, 2013, 10:38:20 AM »
Hello!
Some days ago my bike just died when I was heading for work. Everything was dead, no lights on the throttle or headlight.
The same afternoon I connected an Voltmeter to the battery and the reading shows 40.2 V. My other MP3 bike shows 58V,, so it is clear that the battery pack is faulty. I also connected the other battery to the bike and everything worked as normal.

I tried to charge the faulty battery, but it seems that the battery does not receive power from the charger (both red and green light is lit on the charger and there is no fan noise)...  The battery which is org. LiFePO4 48V 10Amp is still under warranty so I will send it back to dealer.

Question...  Could I use a normal 10 Ah lithium battery on the MP3...  (not LifPO4) without damage the controller?)..
I was thinking of buying this:   http://www.rezer.no/products/lithiumbatteri-10a  as a spare battery pack..

You can use any battery, just the voltage matters never above 48V ;D
