Hello I'm new here and I don't know for sure if I am on the right page now....

My name is Martin and I am a mecanic at Urban wheelz center in holland (eindhoven)
We have a few Qugo's that will not run anymore !
The motor that's mounted is a Magic Pie.

The problems are: When I switch the key to position "ON" immediately I hear a constant beeping sound and no power when I push the throttle, but the rest like the horn, lights, brakelight works perfectly !!

Please can somebody help me with this problem...?

ps. Here is our website where you can see the Qugo I am talking about.. http//:www.urbanwheelzcenter.nl

Hi Martin andto the forum.

I'm assuming these are all MPIIs (or MPIIIs with an external controller and horns) but how many beeps are you getting?

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or more than 5?

Hi Martin,

If you unplug the main control harness from the motor does it still beep when the power is turned on?

If the beep disappears, try this simple test to see if the controller and motor are working correctly:

Make sure the wheel is raised off the ground and that the power is switched ON before you insert the wire.
Be very careful to only put it into the correct holes or you could damage the controller or wiring.  :o
Don't force the wire into the socket or it may open the contact too much, simply touching it against the two contacts should be sufficient to make the motor run if the controller and motor are OK.

I also am very puzzled by the constant beep as I don't recall hearing of this particular fault before, usually there is a series of beeps which are used to give an indication as to what is causing the fault.

If all of your non-working Qugos are emitting a constant beep I suspect it may be something to do with the wiring that is specific to the Qugo.

In your original post, you mentioned that the "brakelight works perfectly", but brake lights are not catered for on the Magic Pie's wiring harness, so how exactly has the brake light been wired into it?

What voltage and wattage is the brake lamp bulb (or LED) and is it powered direct from the battery and grounded through the brake lever switch?

Hello Alan,

I made the shortcut with a wire, but the beep is stil there !!
Even when I turn on the power ( 48 Volt ) the beep starts  immediately !!

So wil it say that the controller inside is broken?

If it still beeps with the main wiring harness (and brake light wiring) disconnected, I would say the controller is definitely faulty and will need to be replaced.

Does it beep constantly or stop after a certain number of beeps?

Gary, if you had scrolled a bit further up this post you would have found Martin's original answer:

I hear 1 constant beep and it wil not end until I cut off the power with the keyswitch.

I think it's about time you considered upgrading to a larger phone:

You might struggle to fit it into your pocket, but at least you would be able to view a lot more forum replies on the screen, all at the same time!

And conversations like this would no longer be necessary:

Gary turns to his wife and asks, "Have you seen my phone?"
Gary's wife replies, "I think it was on the arm of the settee before you sat down, it's probably just fallen down the side of the cushion again!"

I bet that phone will also need pretty frequent charging to keep its battery topped up, I'm lucky if I can go more than a day without having to recharge mine.

Lol, nice phone. I do struggle on my iPhone. The iPad is better. But my 27 inch iMac is best. I just wish I had more time to sit in front of it.
