I am a new owner/member. I have a front drive 48volt led acid battery. Today on a short ride about 6 miles in S. Calif. temp. in the high 90 F. The last part under power. As I started up my drive way I had to add pedal power as usual as drive is very steep. I just made it to the top when I lost power. Checked I still had battery power, but no go. When I shut off power then back on I heard 6 or 7 beeps so I shut down and let it cool down. The hub did not seem very hot, I could lay my hand on it. When I came out 30 min. later it started up. I think this must be from built in thermal protection. I have read where people are having problems with power switches, no surprise. With the arc. that is drawn when you plug in a connecter looks like an arc. welder. I installed a double throw center off sw. I took this out of a junk box. It is probably 50 years old of high quality. Set it up so I have about 1K ohms. from one leg direct on the other. I go from start to run with no current surge. Am working on an auto system which will have only 1 key switch and a shut down push button. Old Fart 76 years I may have to grow old but I don't have to grow up. My 4 wheel transportation is a 2011 Hyundai Genesis coupe 2.0 liter turbo Plus 230 hp.

Hi Guys

my first post as well. I do have a MP front kit as well and I had exactly the same experience. Been cycling on huge hill with my daughter sitting in a kid trailer. When I reached the top I heard 6-7 beep and the engine totally shut off. I took no more than 5 mins of rest and I was able to turn it on and have it back to work. Been using for more than a month now without having the same issue again.
