Hi Alan, happy to be adviced by you !!! If regen worked with the Ping battery using your old regen controller, I don't see why it shouldn't should work with the cruise controller.
The diode that Ping have suggested was only fitted to prevent the regen from overcharging a fully charged battery, which should not really be a problem for your trike.
OK, thank you for enlightement. On the cruise controller, the regen is not operated by the throttle (like it was on your old controller), it is automatically activated by the brake switch when the brakes are applied instead. Do you have the brake lever switch connected to the controller, and does the throttle stop working when the brake is applied?
Yes brake lever operate correctelyMy regen has about a second delay before it starts to work, but there is no way to control the amount of regen, it's either on or off.
It maybe for this reason I ve thinked regen doesn't work , I will test tomorow and increase the % regen braking with the USB PI-200E.
You have launch me on a new clue. I'm stayed in the sitting room since I've plug the trike , thinking it was same function of the old regenerative breaking controler. I will see tomorow. 1s delay, I think it's a long time !! My girlfriend will make an unhappy face tomorow when I will tell about it lol Finally I prefer my old regenerative for this sort of application (trike), but it burn
Alan
P.S. What's with all the Simpsons stuff anyway?
Delirium Thank you Alan ! Keep you informed
