Magic Pie 4, New Controller flash Code 14

Hey,


we are some guy´s from Germany, we are use a Magic Pie 4 for our drift trike school project with an selfmade frame.

For a few weeks we had a litte mistake with the Magic Pie, die Cable rubs a bit on the frame and after that only the red and yellow lights are shinig on the twist throttle.
We measured the Coils and the hallsensors direktly without the controler with a oscilloscope and after that we decide us for a new controller. The controller arrives us and we soldered the hallsensors to the new plug (from smaller "white" plug to the bigger "black").

After that we would made a test run and the motor do nothing, we are checked the connection from the controller to the twist throttle and checked the coils and hallsensore again.

After exchange the controller we get all lights at the twist throttle.
If we start the batteriy pack the controller show us a blink code, the red led flash 14 times but we doesn´t know what this means.
If we unplug the hallsensors on the controller the led flahes 5 times also the detection is okay.
We tested that on the new controller. We´re hope anybody can help us because our project must finished to the 20.06.15 .

Hi Guys,

It sounds like you may have replaced your damaged MP4 controller with an incorrect MPIII controller.
The MP4 should have the smaller hall connector plug

I know there is a difference in the stators on these two motors as I could not get the MP4 controller to work properly with the MPIII motor.

I suggest you email David at GoldenMotor China and see if he can confirm whether the MPIII controller will actually work with the MP4 and if so, perhaps he can explain what the blink code means as I have no idea what the 14 flashes signify.

This would be very annoying because the new controller has a sticker (MP4 Vect Int) and the old ""Damaged"" has the same sticker on it but the old is silver, the new has Black painted parts on the housing.

I am not sure but I was meaning the old controller shows the same error code but we cant connect with usb to them from the beginning.
I will talk to my mates about the error code 14 at the old one.
