I thought I might share a little of my MagicPie3 experience,

Initially, I had concerns because I have read problems people had on this forum about MagicPie3. But now I've been riding my ebike in total of 700km+ to and from work.

I have taken the plunge and bought the MP3 kit. I've upgraded the phase wires to 10AWG and replaced the internal controller with LYEN 12 FET 3077.

Seriously, the whole process was much easier than I thought. and I am not an engineer/electrician.

The bike has been running fantastic and NEVER MISSED A BEAT. It is running on 48V20AH battery. My AVERAGE speed is 45km/hour no pedalling. The top speed is 53km/hour. I normally do the top speed on sections of bike path where there's no other rider around for around 5 minutes+ non stop. Oh, did I say no pedalling?  ;D  ;D

The bike is on the heavy side with 12kg battery attached to the middle frame on a hardwood rack. Weight is probably the only little negative thing on the bike. That's why I can't wait for a much lighter 48V20Ah battery like the ones made by AllCell. But, they are really expensive.

I hope this info might help or maybe encourage someone to go green and start riding ebike.

cheers!

It always brings a big smile everytime I fast accelerate with MP3 massive torque power.  ;D  ;D

The power is that big that I've installed a second torque arm!

I'd say I could do front wheel up with the new Li-NMC batteries. I know what I want for xmas!

It's Pie-tastic!  :)
