Toronto Cyclists say Ebikes are not safe!

Ebikes are not allowed in the bike lanes on multi-use paths in Toronto.

This is a few minutes of a 1 hour ride in to Toronto. You see cyclists running red lights swerving around pedestrians and speeding on the multi-use trails. Then when I cannot legally ride in the bike lane with my Electric Bicycle car drivers are blasting their horn at me!

You have to see what is going on in Toronto. We need your help!

I definitely agree with Doug, the video should be a real eye opener to any official who values human life!

Gary, if you would like to use these before and after shots of my bike to demonstrate the differences between a conventional bike and a "totally unacceptable" ebike you are more than welcome.





Perhaps you should label the photos so that the officials will actually be able to tell which is which.

I hope that at enough of these officials are able to finally see reason and make a logical and sensible decision which will help to prevent totally avoidable accidents and also stop putting peoples lives at risk too.



Perhaps you should offer them a ride through the city on one of your bikes and then ask them if they still think the system is sensible.

Welcome to the world of smug self-important people who think that anyone who is in someway different is scum and should be cursed.  How dare you use pedals and electricity to move your so called "bike"!  There is likely a subset of those people who look down on you because the tires you use are wrong because they don't match the tire size they use.  "REAL Artists" don't use white (or black, grey, etc) paint!  Real Christians (Or Witches or Muslim sect of your choice, etc) don't worship (Insert name of appropriate god here) in that manner.  Real Americans ( you get the idea) don't write with their left hand!   We are probably all guilty of being narrow minded from time to time, but some people make it an art form and even make careers out of it. 

You and I are, of course, wonderful.  The rest of the world should strive to be more like us.    (Damn copycats!)
