What is the name for the DC connector on the 12ah battery (they require this info) I have the round single hole connector on my battery (like a phono socket in a/v cable... not sure what that connector jack type is called? Thanks!
They are called DC barrel jacks, or connectors. I'm not really sure what size it is though. I just measured my GM chargers male barrel jack as best I could with a ruler and it looks to be a 10mm but they are inside diameter and center pin size specific aswell so it may not be easy to find. It might be quickest to just buy any 48v life charger and take your battery into some electronics stores and try and find a fit, then splice it on to the new charger, just make sure you don't mix the polarity. On my battery the center pin is positive, I cant imagine yours would be different but check it with a multi meter anyways.
I checked some specs online and the 24v GM charger is listed as a LBC-24U2, the 36v is listed as a LBC-36U2, and the 48v is an LBC-48U3. My 36v GM charger is listed on the charger itself as a MCR0236NL.
A Google search on the MCR model got nothing, but a search on the LBC-48U3 got a few, this one in particular
here might interest you.
I also Googled 10mm barrel jack and didn't come up with much. If anyone else can chime in on the specifics of these plugs that would be great, I would also like to know as I need a higher amp charger and cant find one with this large barrel plug.
