If your battery pack has a built in Battery Management System
(BMS) there is no need to alter the voltage settings in the controller.
However, if your pack does not have a
BMS, it might be better to reprogram your controller voltage setting to 36V so that you can use the Low Voltage Cut-out
(LVC) function of the controller to prevent your pack from becoming overdischarged.
