Hi there.

I have just got my e-bike running - FINALLY - after much work and a few dramas.  Everything seems to be working OK but I have a couple of questions.

I have both a front and rear motor installed.  I have run a single throttle control and cruise control to the rear, where I have a 48-volt Ping battery in a rear bag with 2 controllers.  I have re-wired the controllers so that the 2 motors connect to the power and hall wires as normal, but the throttle, brake, cruise and horn wires I have joined together with new plugs, so that the two controllers run into one plug.  Someone has mentioned that there maybe a throttle shorting problem and another user has mentioned that I should have the front and rear brakes separated.  I can do the brakes easily but I'm not sure about the throttle.  Does what I have mentioned sound OK?  I have run some short tests in my garage and a quick run up the street and it all seems to work OK but am wondering if anything may occur after extended use under load?

Another question I have relates to the battery power.  Because I do not have the GM battery I don't have a key-switch or any type of on / off switch.  What I need to do is run from the single +12-volt battery wire and split it into two with a switch for both front and rear motors, so that I can turn one or the other on or off as desired.  So I need to split the 12-volt positive into two, with a switch on each branch.  Can anyone help me with how to wire that?  I tried some 15-amp inline switches but they seem to do nothing.  I'd like to be able to turn the motors off when the bike is not in use as there's a risk of someone playing with the throttle whilst the bike is parked and it cause damage...

If anyone can help I'd be most grateful.  :-)  I'll post some pictures up soon - the new bike looks great!
