I recently bought a LiMn 36v 16Ah battery from Golden Motor and it came with a 1.8 amp charger. My question is, what would be the maximum safe charge rate (amps) and voltage that this battery can be charged at?
I have looked all over the web for an answer and cannot find anything that is very definite or clear. TIA

36V/4A charger
42V

Thanks Tom. I think what I might do is connect the output of two chargers I have (both are 2 amp chargers for 36v lithium batteries) in parallel to provide 4 amps of charging current. This should charge my battery twice as fast.

The higher the charge rate, the lower the battery lifespan. There is no maximum charge rate.

Thanks Yao. I think I will rethink my plan and just stick with the 2 amp charger.
