Title: Which forward/reverse switch do I need for my 2 golden Motor 3KW

Hi,
I have acquired two 3KW  motors and controllers  from this company as well as a speed control pedal. These will work on a single UTV. I believe that I will need a  current inverter to provide for forward/reverse control. Which of the Golden Motor products should I purchase? Thanks.

Hi Philippe,

All you need is a simple switch to ground the reverse wire to select reverse:

There is minimal current being switched so most switches (big or little) can be used.

Hi,
Do you mean  to ground the brown forward/reverse  wire on the diagram above?

Yes, you just need to connect a switch to the "forward/reverse" wires as shown below:

When the switch contacts are open, the motors will run in the default direction of rotation, but when the Brown wire is switched to ground (Black wires in diagram are ground), they will run in reverse.

You will obviously need to connect both Brown wires (one from each controller) to the same switch contact to reverse both motors simultaneously. ;)
