Title: Battery won't shut off.

Hi - I have the 52V17.5AH battery.  After fourth or fifth ride today - all just a couple of miles the battery won't shut off.  Charge at end of ride was 55.4V.  Any thoughts on what might be causing this?

Hi Fred,

I suspect that the switch contacts have arced themselves together, as there is a very short but large current being drawn by the capacitors in the controller as they instantly charge up each time the battery is switched on.

Try tapping the switch gently with the handle of a small screwdriver to see if frees the stuck contacts.
