Title: Does 500W 36V kit work with 24V battery pack

I have old 24V battery pack, can I use it with 500W 36V kit which has the new "magic" controller (24,36,48V). Any experiences how the motor runs with 24V?

I heard it works like in a limp home mode kind of thing like 7MPH or something if memory serves.  You have to do some programming to make it work push this and that several times.  Sorry don't know the specifics but it's here on the forum somewhere in a PDF format.
