Been enjoying my pie for about 6 months now without issue. Then the other day I pressed the thumb throttle and the bike lurched forward stuck on full speed. After a few seconds throttle control came back and I dismissed it as a fluke. Then it started to happen more frequently and now with even the slightest touch of the throttle, the bike is stuck in full speed and I have to kill it. I've replaced the front harness and the throttle with same results.
Is it possible cruise control is is stuck on? I don't have a cruise control switch or even know how to operate that feature.

It will definitely not be the cruise control sticking on as it cannot engage without the cruise button being pressed (and you don't have a button to press).
Check out this thread (http://goldenmotor.com/SMF/index.php?topic=4625.msg26686#msg26686) for a similar problem that was caused by water in the connectors.
Controllers can also be adversely affected if water enters into the controller housing:

Direct water cooling should always be avoided inside air cooled controllers. ;)
