Title: Magic Pie 4 controller settings - no response timeout error

I open the controller settings software.  I click on the connect icon and I get the timeout error. What does that mean?  On another computer, the software says "connect the device." It doesn't see the hub motor controller.  Two errors two different computers.

The "no response because of timeout" or "Time Out" error is perfectly normal and will always occur when you first open the program and then try to initially connect prior to turning on the battery power, but the "connect the device" message should not occur.

I suggest you carefully read the "Programming the Vector controller (http://goldenmotor.com/SMF/index.php?topic=5330.0)" thread and also watch Gary's video (http://youtu.be/ahcEXpMBxuA) to ensure you are selecting the correct COM port and turning on the battery power at the correct time.
