Title: what about eco cruise control and power saving

I was just thinking today how to get more from my bike. The poor baby has to push a fatboy around "me" and it'll get over 40km done at full speed. But I also get a very smooth roll from my bike, so when I turn off the power the bike will roll and roll. So what about a eco cruise control? would you save much power if the cruise control pulsed the power? if it was 5ms on/5ms off after you got to full speed. Full speed would have to be set by the user, But would something like that save power? would it be worth saving?
