Title: Anyone have experience in distributing in California or USA?
Post by: Dangwillo on September 10, 2015, 09:38:40 PM
Howdy,

I am in So California and there are only a few dealers around, all far enough from my house to establish my own distribution and dealership.  I have contacted GM and received their contract, found it satisfactory.  But I have no idea of what shipping costs are? And how shipping batteries changes it.  I am ready to go for it, but without understanding shipping, taxes and duties I really am clueless as to the potential for profit.  Perhaps someone could provide an example of an initial order of $5,000 with half of that going towards batteries.  Also, is it better or cheaper place a larger order?  Thanks for any advice.

Sincerely,
Chris

I have been able to get in touch with GM, and received some information. I thought that I had to ship batteries express air, but that is not the case. For example it costs about $160 to airship a $200 battery.  At any rate, I am going to be a dealer / distributor and am looking forward to being involved with Golden Motor. Magic Pie 5 =  :)  I love it.
