Hi everyone,
Im curious on what the community's opinion is on cheap, full suspension bikes for e-conversions. Right now Im riding my Smart Pie on a hardtail Trek 3 series. Its a good bike normally however, with the Smart Pie cruising at 30+ kmh, and the crummy roads here in Boston, the ride gets pretty uncomfortable after an hour or so.
Im thinking about changing over to a full suspension frame to deal with the potholes, but the problem is everything out there is uber expensive. Trek fuel ex run over $1000 even used. What is your opinion on the cheapo walmart frames like magna, next, etc? Id be switching in my own components (fork, disc brakes, chain) so all I really care about is the quality of the frame. I only use my bike for riding on roads so I really don't need to supped up downhill bike.

For a cheap bike, (REALLY CHEAP) try looking for a GoodWill disposal center where things that don't get sold in the stores are sent for ultimate disposal. I've found ridable bikes for $3! Good bikes for $20-50 are very common. Goodwill stores aften have good bikes for fair prices. Police evidence disposal auctions are another cheap place, but don't happen real often.
TTFN,
Dennis

These guys will have some good ideas for you, just be careful to search the forums first before asking any questions. Some of the members there can be quite rude if you don't post a decent question or are too lazy to use the search.
