Re our mp3. every time the battery gets anywhere less than half chage "usually after about 15 miles use , when I leave the bike overnight. It loses memory of my settings. It reverts to full power and no regen brake. Quite annoying and rather scary at times
especially the loss of rear regen brake, as the extra weight of the bike totally overpowers the puny disk brakes.
After a reset all is well till the next time. Any ideas guys.

Hi Brian,
It sounds like a controller problem to me, but you will need to contact David at GM China (http://www.arhservices.co.uk/GoldenMotor/email/Davidmail_zps6673dff6.GIF) for confirmation.
All of my programmable controllers retain their settings (even the ones that are not in use and haven't been used for a long time) so I certainly don't think that yours should be losing its settings regardless of the battery state or whether or not it has been left standing overnight.
Please let us know what David says about your problem.

He was not replying to my mails last time I tried him with this same issue. Its been like this since the whole wheel was changed under warranty. Disappointing niggles .Getting worse now . looses regen brake every time I turn off.
Tried mailing David . no reply. what a way to run an after sales dept

Just an update David now seems to be on my case. New controller on its way "under warranty"
So thats a result. Just a quick query , I'm using a 48v battery, I seem to remember that voltage should be set with the software to 24v for best output. Looking forward to be able to just charging the bike rather than constant reprograming.

Further update on my MP3 . I fitted the new controller this morning . I had a bit of trouble as the hole centre where the wire exits the controller body has moved ,The wire retaining clip will no longer fit . I got this by using cable ties , but then found the wire then fouled the fan housing and brake disk centre. I got round this by elarging the centre holes of both with a file.
Now working ok so far .
