Title: Twist throttle options?
Post by: Davidmnz on March 24, 2015, 02:35:42 AM
I have done a fair bit of googling but haven't found what I want yet. Does anyone know of a low profile twist throttle which works with a 36 V Smart Pie? By low profile I mean the max diameter should be as small as possible. I can live without the LED indicators. Currently with the standard GM throttle I can only put my brake lever, shifter and throttle in one position which is not ideal. I have the Shimano rapid fire two lever type shifter and don't want to change this. Also definitely don't want a thumb throttle or half twist throttle.

Related question: What's inside the throttle anyway (I think I saw something that said a Hall sensor) and is there a circuit diagram somewhere?

Have a look on eBay and see what you can find.

Most electric scooter throttles will probably work:

What's inside the throttle anyway?

The answer to this question can be found here (http://goldenmotor.com/SMF/index.php?topic=1718.msg8740#msg8740).
