Hello iv recently finished a scooter build
and all is going well
But the 16" pie is killing my rear bike tire
does anyone know if a motorbike tire will fit
(or have tried it)
(This was a early pic before the disk caliper was fitted. And there was some tread on the tire lol)

Hi
I had tire wear problems with a 20" MP3 on my Morgen, and what I did is take 2 20" rims, and bonded them to the cast wheel so I could put a wider tire on it. I went from a 1.25"(about) wide contact patch to a 3+ " contact patch. I have not noticed a wear problem since.
I have no idea if there are wider tires for 16" rims, but Google is your friend....
Please let us know what you come up with.
TTFN,
Dennis

I was trying to see what tyre GM had fitted on the original 16" Pie:

After some close inspection it appears to be a 13 x 2.50 tyre:

But I can't find this size tyre anywhere on the web. ???
If you measure the inside diameter of your current tyre it should confirm the correct diameter (12.5" or 13")
